Your pet will have the time of his or her life when staying at the Shamrock Pet Resort. We know how important it is to know that your pet is safe and happy while you are away. We have worked to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere so that you can have peace of mind while your pet stays with us. Our spacious boarding facility can accommodate cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, ferrets and other pets.

Kennels and Runs

  • Our Resort Kennels are our smallest kennels, ranging in size from 24″ x 24″ to 30″ x 48″. They are ideal for smaller breeds of dogs.
  • The Northwoods and Desert Oasis Runs are 3 feet by 5 feet, are temperature controlled and have raised, rubber-coated grates to allow for better air circulation and cleanliness.
  • Dogs have their own kennels and runs, SEPARATE from cats and other animals.
  • A cement wall separates each run for privacy and easy clean-up.

Spa Suites

  • Our themed Spa Suites are 5×5 feet and include a Kuranda bed for added comfort.
  • 5 of our suites include televisions.
  • The other 5 suites include Web cameras to allow you to check in on your pet while you are away. A username and password will be given to you at the time of check in in order to access your pet’s Web camera.
  • Staying in a Spa Suite gives you an additional discount to the daycare while boarding discount if your pet participates in Doggie Daycare!

Seaside Cat Condos

  • Includes a cozy bi-level condo (about 2 feet by 2.5 feet) with a separate crawl space for each cat’s own private litter box.
  • Vented, plexi-glass doors allow our guests to enjoy “the view.”
  • Guests are able to stretch their legs in our indoor, private playroom.


  • Tours can be arranged at anytime!
  • We provide Royal Canin dry pet food, because we feel it ensures your pet is getting a well-balanced, nutritional meal. All Royal Canin meals are provided for your pet at no charge. You are also welcome to bring your pet’s own food.
  • We are also happy to provide your pet with our soft and comfortable bedding, if you choose.
  • Food and water dishes are also provided for your convenience.
  • As part of your dog’s daily regimen, we will exercise them in our outdoor runs at least twice a day.
  • Cats are able to stretch their legs in our indoor playroom.
  • Of course, there is no end to the staff who visit the boarding animals several times a day – just to play!
  • We will be happy to administer two oral medications you provide for your pet at no charge. If you have multiple medications, medications for your pets eyes or ears, injections, or special medications, they can also be given to your pet for a small fee.

VIP Packages

In addition to your pet’s daily regimen as a guest, he or she can be a VIP and receive extra-special treatment. Our VIP package allows pets extra personally-supervised one-on-one playtime as often as you like. Packages include:

  • Feline VIP: $12 per 20-minute session.
  • Weekend Canine VIP: $12 per 20-minute session. Private or group play is available. A daycare assessment is required for group play.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy says that a no call/no show or failure to cancel 24 hours in advance results in having to charge for one night of boarding. Therefore, since we are no longer able to keep credit cards on file, one prepaid night of boarding is required at the time of the reservation for each of your pet’s boarding stays. This payment will ensure your pet’s spot is reserved and also covers our cancellation policy.


To be eligible for boarding at Shamrock Pet Resort, dogs need to have the following vaccinations:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper/Parvo combination vaccine (DHLPP)
  • Leptospirosis (if your records do not show the “L” in the distemper vaccine abbreviation, it may have been given separately)
  • Bordetella
  • Negative test for intestinal parasites
  • Monthly flea and tick preventative application

Boarded cats need to have had the following vaccinations:

  • Rabies
  • Feline virus vaccine (FVRCCP)
  • Feline Leukemia OR a negative feline leukemia test in the past year
  • Negative test for intestinal parasites
  • Monthly flea and tick preventative application

Other Information

All boarding clients will be required to answer several questions about your pet regarding eating habits, health concerns and emergency contact information. New boarders will be required to fill out our client information form. We know many boarding clients are on a tight schedule and we will try to check in your pet as quickly and efficiently as possible. However, we ask that you please give yourself an extra five to ten minutes to allow us to properly check in your pet. This will ensure your pet receives the best care possible while he or she is staying with us.

Our Frequent Boarder Program allows your pet to earn complimentary boarding nights, baths, and nail trims. For every 10 nights your pet boards with us (not necessarily in one stay), their 11th night is free. Additionally, if they stay with us eight nights in a row, they receive a complimentary bath and nail trim before going home. (Long haired dogs may receive a complimentary VIP instead).
