Meghan can either be found in daycare, boarding or greeting pets at the Resort front desk. Her favorite part of working here is spending time with the dogs in daycare and boarding and seeing how happy and excited both owner and pet are when they’re reunited.
She enjoys being outside, playing with all the daycare dogs and being able to come to work in a happy, fun environment where even the dogs smile.
Her pet family consists of Golden Retriever, Honda; German Shepherd, Sweetie; Viszla’s, Ruby and Yeti; and last but not least, Russian Dwarf Hamster, Bubba.
Courtnie was a long time client before joining our team as a Daycare Attendant in the Resort. She grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska but says the winters here are much colder.
She almost feels guilty about getting paid just to have fun and play with all the different dogs all day. She enjoys working with our friendly staff, meeting all the new clients and pets and learning exciting new things from the doctors.
In her free time, Courtnie enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and playing hockey. Rounding out her furry family is Duke a 6 year old lab, Nakkita a 9 year old lab/beagle mix and newest member, Barrett a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy.
We’d like to welcome Jody back to our grooming department in the Shamrock Pet Resort! She has 10 years of grooming experience and we’re so pleased she is back. In her spare time she is a devoted mother to her beautiful daughter, Mia; and dogs, Vash and Bentley. Call today to reserve your dog’s well deserved spa treatment!
Alyssa joined our resort family in 2016 and her warm, vibrant personality has been a wonderful addition. She loves playing with and caring for all the pets throughout their boarding stay, especially play time!
She is grateful that the experiences she has here will cross-over when she pursues her degree in Animal Sciences and future Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the UW Madison, beginning in the fall of 2017.
Family kitties (and life-long patients of ours), Nero and Calloway keep a close eye on her three parakeets, Fetty, Flurry and Tweeter. Her favorite animals are birds and dogs.
Katie joined our team in 2016 and enjoys interacting with all the different pets and meeting their owners. She brings a great work ethic and an eye for detail.
When she graduates she would like to major in Marine Biology. She would love to complete her bachelor’s degree in Wisconsin and ultimately complete her schooling in Oregon.
At home she cares for three cats, a dog, cow, several chickens and pigs, one donkey, occasional sheep and four rabbits, making her uniquely qualified to care for all the furry friends we see. She has difficulty choosing a favorite animal, either an elephant, whale or a dog. In her spare time she enjoys arts and crafts, playing piano and guitar, dancing and singing.
Taylor is one of our newest Veterinary Assistants joining our team in late spring. She is enjoying her time split between the hospital and the resort, working some days as a Daycare Attendant. She graduated with a degree in Animal Science from UW – River Falls. She will attend Madison College this fall where she’ll pursue a Certified Veterinary Technician degree.
Her favorite part of working in the hospital so far is getting to know the clients, pets and staff members. She also enjoys making new four-legged friends in daycare! Each day brings new and unique learning opportunities.
In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, boating and four-wheeling with family and friends. She’s pictured with her family dog, Miley.
