Doggy Daycare
While you're away at work for the day, let your pet play at Shamrock Pet Resort! Our daycare facility is a spacious 3,000-square-foot facility with a rubber floor and plenty of space indoors and outdoors for dogs to run, romp and play with others.
Your pet will have access to spacious, themed boarding suites and indoor runs. Our indoor runs are on a rubber coated rack off the floor at all times for better circulation and temperature control. Daycare guests also have access to an outdoor enclosed courtyard exercise area.

Daycare play hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, dogs may be dropped off and picked up anytime between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Your dog will be kept in one of our spacious indoor runs prior to being let out at 9 a.m. They will be brought back to their run at 4 p.m. to rest until you are able to pick them up before 6 p.m.
Daycare Assessments
Daycare assessments are required for all new daycare dogs. It will also allow your dog to participate in the Group VIP playtime which takes place on the weekends. The cost is a one-time, $25 fee, which is also used toward the first day of daycare (which must be used on the day the assessment is given). Our professional dog trainer, Matt Bourisaw, will conduct the assessment. He will be watching to see that your dog:
- Socializes well with the other dogs
- Has no aggression issues
- Is comfortable with new people
- Allows us to easily put on and take off his or her leash and collar
- Feels comfortable being placed in or taken out of their run
In addition to the above requirements, every staff member needs to be comfortable handling your dog.
If a dog does not pass, he or she will be returned to a run until you are able to pick him or her up. You are also free to try again at a later date.

Shamrock Dog Park
Your pet is welcome to play in the Shamrock Dog Park! The park is a two-acre, fenced-in, off-leash dog park next door to Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital.
It is two acres of open grass, brush piles for "hunting," a perimeter trail for exercise (1/4 mile around), and miscellaneous trails and open exercise areas. We have park benches for resting, a watering station, a shelter from the elements and "doggie doo-doo" bags to keep the area clean. We hope to add agility stations and other amenities as funds allow and clients request them. The park is open from dawn to dusk for either a daily fee or an annual membership. The daily fee is $2 for the first dog and $1 for each additional dog. Regular clients of the Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital receive a loyalty discount on their annual membership. Annual memberships are good from January 1 through December 31 each year.
Before coming to the dog park, each dog must have up-to-date rabies, distemper and parvovirus vaccinations. Dogs must also be socialized and behave well with other dogs and must respond to voice commands at all times. Doggy bags are provided at no charge for picking up dog "messes."
