In 2009, Kyle received his Associate's degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Wisconsin at Baraboo/Sauk County. He is currently continuing his education at the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse and is studying sports management with an emphasis in coaching.

Kyle has two dogs named Jager and Malibu, and a cat named Scotch. He likes to hunt with Jager, a field spaniel. Kyle also enjoys playing and coaching hockey, fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle.
