Shamrock Pet Resort Staff

Matthew

Matthew, dog trainer, has worked at Sauk Prairie full time since October 2009. He was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and has worked in the animal care field since 2007. Matt is a certified master dog trainer and a certified professional dog trainer and received his training at the Tom Rose School. Additionally, he attended the University of North Texas and received a Bachelor's of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2009.

Matt shares his home with two Belgian Malinois Shepherds named Maeby and Mingus. He also has a cat named Rufus. His animal related hobbies include ringsport, agility training, narcotics detection and search & rescue.

Matt enjoys working at Sauk Prairie and especially loves the friendliness of the employees, who he feels would help him with anything should he need it. He enjoys jazz music and likes biking, goifing and, of course, dog training.

Kyle

Kennel assistant Kyle has been a part time employee at Shamrock Pet Resort since June 2002. A native of Sauk Prairie, Kyle enjoys working at the hospital because of the people he is able to meet - and work with - and the relationships he builds. He also enjoys being able to give pet owners the opportunity to go on vacations without having to worry about the care of their pets.

In 2009, Kyle received his Associate's degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Wisconsin at Baraboo/Sauk County. He is currently continuing his education at the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse and is studying sports management with an emphasis in coaching.

Kyle has two dogs named Jager and Malibu, and a cat named Scotch. He likes to hunt with Jager, a field spaniel. Kyle also enjoys playing and coaching hockey, fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle.

Matt

When asked what he enjoys most about his work, Animal Caretaker Matt says, "I love the animals and the people I work with."

Matt is a graduate of High School and joined the Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital team in July of 2008. His pets include a Yellow Lab named Brandy and a Teddy Bear named Bella. His interests include swimming and soccer.

Morgan

Morgan is a high school student who is planning on going to veterinary school some day to follow in the footsteps of her father, Dr. Joe Kelley. She is pictured here with her Jack Russell Terrier, Stella.

Debbie

Resort Manager Debbie joined the Shamrock Pet Resort staff as a part-time employee in 2008 and as a full-time employee in 2009. Debbie loves the friendly, family-like atmosphere at the hospital and enjoys taking care of all the pet guests at the resort. She shares her home with two dogs, Cosmo and Gretta. Debbie's hobbies include camping, hiking, rock hunting and going to car shows, craft shows and farmers' markets.

Ashley

Shamrock Pet Resort Receptionist Ashley has been with Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital since April of 2006.

A graduate of Sauk Prairie High School, Ashley has an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Madison Area Technical College.

She is pictured here with her dog, Hunter.

Sam

Samantha has worked in Shamrock Pet Resort since August 2006. She was raised in North Freedom and is working towards a degree in animal science at the University of Wisconsin at Platteville.

The owner of a two goldfish, a dog named Jack and a cat named Isabella, Samantha says that animals bring her joy. She also likes to be able to ensure clients that their pet will have a safe and pleasant stay at Shamrock Pet Resort. She is a member of her university's softball team and she likes playing with her dog and being outdoors.

Hannah

Animal Caretaker Hannah says, "I like working here because I love animals and I get to work with and take care of a wide variety of wonderful pets. I also really like everybody I work with because they are all a lot of fun and really easy to work with."

A native of Sauk Prairie, Hannah joined the staff at Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital in June of 2009. At home, she has a Newfoundland named Samson, Jack Russell Terrier named Jazz, Golden Retriever named Lou, Siberian Husky named Ziggy, and four cats. Her interests include playing hockey, soccer and swimming.

Jody

Jody is a native of Park Falls, Wisconsin, and has been a Groomer at Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital since October of 2008. She began her career in the pet care field in 2006 and has a professional dog grooming certificate from PetSmart. She also has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin at Platteville.

Her animal family includes two Miniature Pinschers named Meisha and Vash, and a Schnauzer mix named Bentley. Her interests include reading, cooking and spending time with her friends and family.

Brenna

Brenna is a high school student who enjoys gymnastics and working in the family business. She is pictured here with her Jack Russell Terrier, Ladybug.

Sean

Animal Caretaker Sean is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, but moved to Sauk City with his family and is a graduate of High School. He has been a member of the Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital staff since 2009.

When asked what he enjoys most about his work, Sean says, "The staff is great, they are very helpful and friendly and I love working with the animals. Actually, if you love animals, this is a great place to work."

At home, Sean has two cats named Rebee and Lola. His interests include playing football, track, basketball and drumming.

Boarding staff member Kimberly is no stranger to the care of animals as she continues to work with her family on their dairy farm in Sauk Prairie. "Working with animals is something I have always thought is fun," she says. "The staff here is very friendly as well, which makes it nice to be part of."

A native of Sauk Prairie, Kimberly joined the Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital staff in August of 2010. She has a Lab named Tyson and a cat named Cabo. Her interests include singing in the Sauk Prairie Show Choir, showing cattle, and scrapbooking.

Kennel Assistant Jenna has been a member of the Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital staff since March of 2011. A native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Jenna says she finds the atmosphere at the Hospital to be warm and friendly and that it is always a plus to be able to work with animals.

Her pets include an English Bulldog named Babu, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Jake, Poodle mix named Molly and three cockatiels. Jenna’s interests include agility training with Jake and Molly, reading romance novels, hiking and spending time with her family.
