Veterinary Technician Tanya has been with Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital since January of 2009. A native of Rostov-on-Don, Russia, she received certification as a veterinarian from Donskoy State Agrarian University and was in private practice in Russia between 1997 and 1999 as a veterinary surgeon. Prior to earning her veterinary degree, she received a degree in Microbiology in 1992.
Her animal family includes a Cane Corso mix named Oscar, a parrot named Rosie, two parakeets named Corona and Caboose, a guinea pig named Gina, a Cat named Simon, five fish tanks, and three rabbits named FuFu, Tyron and Oreo.
Sam originally started in the Shamrock Pet Resort from 2006-2012 and returned to work at the Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant in 2015.
She enjoys caring for patients and assisting the doctors and technicians and is proud that we offer the best care and veterinary medicine possible. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with a Biology minor and emphasis in Science.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and their Golden Retriever, Sydney, and taking her to training classes and agility in the Shamrock Pet Resort.
Jessica is our newest Certified Veterinary Technician. After spending 5 years in the Navy she made a career change to veterinary medicine. Having worked under an oral surgeon previously, she is experienced in dental surgery and enjoys the challenges it brings. She also has experience with exotic care and handling. She loves the ability to bring a smile to a client’s face when able to help their pet.
In her free time she loves playing softball, camping, kayaking, decorating and spending time with friends and family. She has three cats, 9 yr old Bella; 8yr old Alice; and Penelope the 1 yr old youngster. Besides her cats, her favorite animal is a sloth because “they are adorable”.
Morgan is a recent proud graduate of UW – River Falls with a degree in Animal Science and Management.
She is happy to return to the family business to work with her parents, Dr. Joe and Jodi Kelley.
She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and pursuing many volunteer opportunities. She is pictured with her sidekick Jack Russell Terrier, Stella.
Kelsey is one of skilled Veterinary Assistants and brings a warm, happy smile to every exam. She enjoys being able to discuss the best medical care available for patients. She loves being able to make pet’s lives easier and healthier, which in turn makes their owner’s lives more fulfilling.
Her fur family consists of Tater, a Corgi; and Sparky, a Golden Retriever so it’s no surprise her favorite part of working here is seeing all of the Golden Retrievers and Welsh Corgis.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her dogs and any outdoor activity.
Sean originally started in 2010, in our Shamrock Pet Resort, where he split his time between boarding and daycare. He is currently one of our Veterinary Assistants. He recently earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Science, with an emphasis in Organismal Biology, from Saint Norbert College, with future plans to become a large animal veterinarian.
He likes the variety of cases he assists the veterinarians in the hospital, getting to know all of our clients and the opportunity to help sick pets.
In his free time he enjoys playing football, video games and fantasy football.
Veterinary Assistant, Becky, joined our team late spring of 2016. Originally from DeForest, she now resides outside Prairie du Sac. She recently graduated from a Veterinary Technician program and is awaiting her certification testing. Becky has cross-trained in our Resort and is extremely versatile. She can sometimes be seen in daycare, at the front desk or helping in boarding.
In her free time she loves spending the day on an adventure with her Redbone Coonhound, Lizzy. Together they enjoy running, hiking, attending our Agility club on Wednesday nights, or simply spending time catching up with friends and family.
Taylor, a Veterinary Assistant, joined our team in late spring 2016. She holds a degree in Animal Science from UW – River Falls and is in the middle of her Veterinary Technician program at Madison College.
Her favorite part of working in the hospital so far is getting to know the clients, pets and staff members. Each day brings new and unique learning opportunities.
In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, boating and four-wheeling with family and friends. She’s pictured with her family dog, Miley.
