Veterinary Technician Tanya has been with Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital since January of 2009. A native of Rostov-on-Don, Russia, she received certification as a veterinarian from Donskoy State Agrarian University and was in private practice in Russia between 1997 and 1999 as a veterinary surgeon. Prior to earning her veterinary degree, she received a degree in Microbiology in 1992.
Her animal family includes a Cane Corso mix named Oscar, a parrot named Rosie, two parakeets named Corona and Caboose, a guinea pig named Gina, a Cat named Simon, five fish tanks, and three rabbits named FuFu, Tyron and Oreo.
Hard-working and always happy, Sharon has been a Certified Veterinary Technician at Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital since May 2013. She loves everything about her job. Sharon earned her degree in veterinary technology from Globe University and she is also a certified surgical technologist.
When not at work, Sharon cares for Kaylee and Libby, two German Shorthair Pointers; Mia, an Italian Greyhound; Gracie and Boo, two domestic long-haired cats; and Zeke and BoBo, two rats. She enjoys gardening, walking with her dogs, ice fishing, and summer fishing.
Amanda joined Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital in November 2012 as our part time Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist, bringing eight years of animal care experience with her. Her role at Sauk Prairie, which includes assisting both clients and doctors, is a perfect fit. “I love animals and I love working with people, too,” she says.
Amanda’s own pets include a corgi named Tiki, a cat named Sissy, a donkey named Patrick, and two camels named Big Joe and Wilson. When not at work or at home with her pets, Amanda spends time outdoors and working at the nursery in her church and caring for her beautiful daughter, Amelia.
Sam originally started in the Shamrock Pet Resort from 2006-2012 and returned to work at the Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant in 2015.
She enjoys caring for patients and assisting the doctors and technicians and is proud that we offer the best care and veterinary medicine possible. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with a Biology minor and emphasis in Science.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and their Golden Retriever, Sydney, and taking her to training classes and agility in the Shamrock Pet Resort.
Morgan is a recent proud graduate of UW – River Falls with a degree in Animal Science and Management.
She is happy to return to the family business to work with her parents, Dr. Joe and Jodi Kelley.
She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and pursuing many volunteer opportunities. She is pictured with her sidekick Jack Russell Terrier, Stella.
Sean originally started in 2010, in our Shamrock Pet Resort, where he split his time between boarding and daycare. He is currently one of our Veterinary Assistants. He recently earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Science, with an emphasis in Organismal Biology, from Saint Norbert College, with future plans to become a large animal veterinarian.
He likes the variety of cases he assists the veterinarians in the hospital, getting to know all of our clients and the opportunity to help sick pets.
In his free time he enjoys playing football, video games and fantasy football.
Veterinary Assistant, Becky, is one of the newest additions to our hospital team, in late spring of 2016. Originally from DeForest, she now resides outside Prairie du Sac. She is currently enrolled in the Certified Technician Program at Globe University. “I’m absolutely excited to begin my career here and have felt very welcomed by everyone” and is excited to put her expanding knowledge to use in the hospital.
In her free time she loves spending the day on an adventure with her Redboned Coonhound, Lizzy. Together they enjoy running, hiking, attending our Agility club on Wednesday nights, or simply spending time catching up with friends and family.
Taylor is one of our newest Veterinary Assistants joining our team in late spring. She graduated with a degree in Animal Science from UW – River Falls. She will attend Madison College this fall where she’ll pursue a Certified Veterinary Technician degree.
Her favorite part of working in the hospital so far is getting to know the clients, pets and staff members. Each day brings new and unique learning opportunities.
In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, boating and four-wheeling with family and friends. She’s pictured with her family dog, Miley.
